Two LRC Racing Records fall in Omaha Corporate Cup
LRC-Racing had nine runners make the trek to Omaha for the 2012 Omaha Corporate Cup 10k, and in the process had two LRC-Racing records broken. LRC had another excellent performance as the men took four of the top ten spots and the women put two in the top eleven. The men’s side was highlighted byTom Nichols who ran a LRC-Racing record 31:43 on his way to a third place finish. Neil Wolford was the next member of LRC-Racing to cross the tape as he finished in sixth place with a time of 32:21. Eric Noel (33:16) and Logan Watley (33:40) were not far behind as they laid claim to seventh and eighth place respectively. Cole Marolf and Mike Herz were the next LRC members to finish as Marolf came in 12th with a time of 34:37 and Herz came in 13th with a time of 34:39. Austin McKillip also ran a LRC-Racing qualifying standard of 37:09.
On the women’s side, what LRC-Racing lacked in quantity, they made up for in quality. Hannah Kinberg placed 3rd with an LRC-Racing record time of 36:47, besting her own previous record by just under a minute and a half. Malaina Huebert also had a great race as she finished in 11th place with a time of 39:27. For complete results click here.
Next up, LRC-Racing will have Ryan Regnier competing in the Denver Marathon on September 22nd. Regnier enters the race with a marathon PR of 2:50:12. LRC will also have several members competing in the Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday, October 7th. Tom Nichols, Eric Noel, Mike Herz, and Frankie Petersen will represent LRC in Minneapolis. Nichols enters the race with a marathon PR of 2:25:13, Noel with a PR of 2:32:21, and Herz a PR of 2:57:12. For Petersen, this will be her debut in the marathon after running a 1:26:07 in the 2012 Lincoln Half-Marathon.
On Saturday, October 13th, LRC-Racing will have eight members competing in the Market to Market Relay. The LRC-Racing team will be made up of Neil Wolford, Mike Rathje, Cole Marolf, Logan Watley, and Quinn Lewandowski. Ryan Regnier, Austin McKillip, and Adeline Hohman will also be competing in the race on other teams.
