Turkey Trottin’

Picture

Despite the standard November weather that we are just starting to get used to, LRC Racing seemed to be more active on turkey day than in year’s past.  The two main venues were Lincoln and Fremont.  In Lincoln, Ryan Salem was the third finisher (and first masters) in the 5k race as he crossed the line in 18:07.4.

In Fremont, LRC Racing took the top three spots as Johnny Rutford led the field in a time of 25:34, less than five seconds off the team record. Cole Marolf (26:44) and John Gunderson (26:46) were second and third, respectively, as they used the race as a “tune-up” before USATF Club XC in a couple weeks.  Johnny now holds the second fastest time in team history, while Gunderson makes his first mark on the team with the 10th fastest time.

The California International Marathon (CIM) will take place a week from tomorrow (December 6th), and LRC Racing will be represented by several top runners, as well as some making their marathon debut.
