Turkey Trot Trifecta

LRC Racing pulled off the rare “Turkey Trot Trifecta” this past Thanksgiving holiday.  In Lincoln, Fremont and Kearney, LRC Runners took first in their respective races.  In Lincoln, Tim Meyer took the tape in the 5K course with a time of 16:13.4.  Ryan Salem also ran the race, finishing in 18:35.2 as the first overall masters.  In Fremont, Andrew Jacob was first across the 5 mile finish line in a time of 26:49. Charles Smith was also there, running the course in 28:42. Finally, Jacob Olson took the champion’s prize in Kearney by finishing the 5 mile course in a time of 26:58. Kelly Messbarger also was present running 37:48.8 as she continues to come back from injury.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, December 3rd, LRC Racing was also present out in Sacramento, CA for the California International Marathon.  Johnny Rutford led the way by finishing in a new team record of 2:21:34, while Michael Rathje lowered his Top 10 Chart time (3rd) to 2:27:04. LRC Alum, Eric Noel, continued his streak of running well at the race, finishing in a time of 2:23:12. This was his fifth straight year of running sub-2:25 at this race!
