The 2014 Omaha Marathon took place this past weekend, and LRC Racing was strongly represented.  In the marathon race, Chad Sellers led the way by placing second overall in 2:40:19, giving him yet another sub-3:00 marathon.  In the 10k, Austin McKillip also placed second in the slightly long course (6.7 miles) as he crossed the line in 40:23. Erica Doering (Hamik) won the women’s 5k in a time of 20:09. Erica’s time puts her at 6th on the Top 10 Charts.

The Half Marathon race had the largest number of LRC Racers.  Krysta George finished the 13.1 miles in 1:26:28, which was good enough for second overall in the race.  It also moved her up to 6th on the LRC Top 10 All Time Charts.

In the men’s race, new member Johnny Rutford stole the show in his inaugural race as he won the race in a time of 1:10:55, placing him 5th on the all-time charts.  Andrew Jacob (1:12:41) came in second overall, and now 6th on the charts, while Trevor Vidlak (1:14:07) and Logan Watley (1:14:35) rounded out the top four.

Full results can be found here.

There will be quite a few LRC runners at this weekend’s Harvest Moon Hustle, and then races sprinkled out between Twin Cities, Market to Market, Des Moines and Governor’s Cup, all leading up to the Good Life Halfsy, which will take place on November 9th.
