New Year, New Record

LRC Nebraska started off 2019 with a bang as the team swept the first five position of the Rust Buster 5k at Twin Rivers State Park. Nolan Zimmer (15:02) led the way with a new team record, besting previous holder Johnny Rutford by about 13 seconds.

John Cleary (15:25), Tim Meyer (15:26), Cole Marolf (15:32) and Nolan Border (15:34) all ran a strong pack pace to finish 2nd through 5th, respectively. Those times are now 3rd, 4th, 7th and 8th, respectively, on the team’s Top 10 Charts.
For the women, Elizabeth Starbuck toed the line for her inaugural LRCN race, winning with a comfortable lead. Her time of 18:39 is now 7th on the women’s Top 10 Charts.
