What does a typical training week look like for you?  Walk us through your daily routine (training related and otherwise): Workout 6x/week, Saturday’s off

We all approach training and racing differently, so tell us what your short-term and long-term goals are with running: Short-term: PR this year in the half-marathon. Long-term: stay healthy, so I don’t have to take long breaks and lose fitness. And continue to PR for years to come.

Where are your 3 favorite places to do long runs at the moment? Trainquility single-track trails. Really, just anywhere with singletrack dirt trails, out in nature, and good scenery is always a plus.

After a solid race or long run, what is your favorite meal to demolish and replenish those calories?  Please use details and give recommendations! After a solid race, I have to reward myself, so maybe go to a place with pizza, especially if I competed in the race with a group of friends. Last year, I did a 5k and then went to the Haymarket in Lincoln with a couple friends I did the race with and we all got beers. That’s always fun.

Share a crazy training or racing story, or simply an interesting moment in time: I ran on the beach in Israel last Summer, just North of Tel Aviv. It was a very secluded sand beach with high rock cliffs on one side and the water on the other. It was a narrow beach, but still with plenty of room for me to run. Anyway, I stumbled onto a nude beach during this run, so that was interesting. I went through it twice, because it was an out and back.

What book are you currently reading or TV show are you binge watching? Boys in the Cave- rescue mission story about getting a group out of a cave.

You’re the star of a running movie, and the opening scene is you running on a winding dirt road, with a beautiful sunrise.  What song is playing in the background? Everclear – Wonderful
