Share a crazy training or racing story, or simply an interesting moment in time: 2014 ended up running with Bridget Easley in the Lincoln Half. She was second to Ashley Miller at the 9 mile mark. When we turned onto 10th street, she said. “I have to get her”. I said, “let’s go”. Each mile we were closing on Ashley (both were running for Team Nebraska at the time. We make the “hair pin” turn next to the stadium and the distance was 20 meters. She caught Ashley immediately before we entered the stadium. I dropped back to watch as Bridget passed her and entered the stadium. I passed Ashley and gave her encouragement as I rushed up to Bridget. I didn’t want to get too close because I didn’t want her to think I was Ashley making a comeback. Therefore, I stayed a couple meters back to watch Bridget finish. We both clocked at 1:19:17. She was the overall winner of the open women and I was the overall master’s winner. I have photo to proved it! lol
