Walk us through your daily routine (training related and otherwise): Clinical rotations during the day and usually an early morning run before rotations or a run after rotations before dinner. After a solid race or long run, what is your favorite meal to demolish and replenish those calories? Please use details and give recommendations!: Gatorade and homemade hash browns
Share a crazy training or racing story, or simply an interesting moment in time: One year in college we decided to do a 14 mile long run that we called the “Pizza Ranch run”. It was named this because we planned to run from our college town to a nearby town 14 miles away that had a pizza ranch. It was a perfect plan- run, eat unlimited pizza, drive home. The whole run there all we talked about is how amazing pizza ranch was going to taste. Unfortunately we didn’t factor in the problem that sometimes after a long run your stomach isn’t ready for food right away. So we all got to pizza ranch, paid for the full pizza buffet, and then proceeded to eat 2 small slices of pizza each and give up. Very anticlimactic way to end what we thought would be the greatest long run of our lives.
What book are you currently reading or TV show are you binge watching?: Brooklyn 99
You’re the star of a running movie, and the opening scene is you running on a winding dirt road, with a beautiful sunrise. What song is playing in the background?: Thunderstruck, ACDC
