Market to Market

Good weather brings great times. Such was the case at the 11th annual Market to Market Relay. Going from Ak-Sar-Ben Village in Omaha to the Haymarket in Downtown Lincoln, this 76 mile race event has been a bright spot for our team proving just how absolutely deep we are. This fact was illustrated with four of our teams finishing as the top four overall relays in the 500 team race. Not needing anyone other than ourselves and history to provide the motivation for performance, LRC Racing continues to develop into an outstanding regional team.
Both the men's and women's teams set course records. The women (seen above) averaged 6:05, completing the distance in right under 7 hours and 45 minutes and finishing third overall. Only six ladies on there too!
The men's team (below) averaged 5:08 per mile, burning up the MoPac trail in a little over 6.5 hours, coming away with the overall win. The only thing stopping them would have been an ill timed train crossing.

Rounding out our award winners were the LRC Racing Open Team. They were 2nd overall, averaging 5:44 per mile, 7:18 overall time. LRC Master's fourth overall, averaging 6:05, just over 7:45. LRC Mixed Master's had a great race as well, winning their division, averaging under 7 minutes per mile, and finish in 8:45ish. Great day for the team.
On to some local races the 5th annual Halfsy, and cross country!!!
