It was another record-setting day for the LRC Racing contingent at the 7th annual Market to Market Relay race. The mixed team, made up of Hayley Sutter, Jason Zakaras, Neil Wolford, Cole Marolf, Andrew Jacob, Frankie Petersen, Michael Rathje and Maureen Larsen (and driver Logan Watley), smashed the previously held mixed-division record by :16/mile. In doing so, the team also finished as the first overall team at this year’s race. In addition to the mixed team, the men’s master teams also broke the record they held last year, as LRC members Darin Schlake, Brian Kelley, Jason Schmaderer, Tom Woods and Craig Christians anchored the eight person team to a 6:04/mile pace and a 5th overall finish.
The open Lincoln Running Company team also placed high, led by LRC members Chad Sellers, Derek Sekora and Dan Haden. Many other LRC Racing members (and Alum) ran on other relay teams, and none of the runners could have asked for better weather.
In the 50K race, Ryan Regnier finished 3rd overall (and second male) by running an average of 6:45 per mile.
Great representation by all this weekend and already looking forward to next year’s race!
