As is the tradition all over the United States, LRC Racing was represented by three athletes at the 2012 YMCA Lincoln Turkey Trot which took place at Lincoln Memorial Park in south Lincoln on Thanksgiving morning. Brian Wandzilak was the top LRC finisher as he completed the 5k course in a time of 16:41.2 for second overall. Tom Woods was the next runner across the line, running a time of 17:05.7. Addie Hohman was the lone representative for the women as she finished in 20:06.9, a LRC minimum-standard. All three individuals made their mark on the top ten charts, as Addie lowered her time as second on the women’s list. Brian Wandzilak increased his position from 9th to 6th, and Tom Woods made a mark on his third top ten performance. Full race results can be found here.

Just over one week ago, LRC Racing had a team of athletes compete in the Living History Farms Run in Urbandale, Iowa. Brian Wandzilak was the top LRC finisher as he took 27th overall with a time of 43:28. Not far behind him was Andrew Jacob who finished in a time of 43:53, and Tom Woods who finished in a time of 44:18. Ben Cohoon also completed the course in a time of 49:55. Addie Hohman was the only LRC Racing female to compete, and was the 15th female to cross the line, running a time of 56:42.

The last Lincoln Track Club race of the year is scheduled for Sunday, and LRC Racing plans to have nearly 15 competitors in this year’s Holiday Run, a 5k race that takes place at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, NE. Although there are no official results for the race, all proceeds ($10/entry) benefit the Capital Humane
Society. For an entry form Click Here
