LRC Racing Shows Up in Duluth

LRC Racing took a trip north this past weekend and found success in the city of Duluth, MN.  In the Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon, Michael Rathje led the way as he finished in the top 50 of this competitive race (38th) with a time of 1:09:51.  Eric Noel also finished in the top 50 (47th) as he ran a time of 1:11:13.  Maureen Larsen continued to run well as she ran a time of 1:26:57, which not only placed her in the top 50 of the women’s race (48th) but also as the third master’s woman in the entire race.  Maureen is now 7th on the open women’s top charts.

In the full marathon, the men had one placer in the top 50 as Tom Nichols finished 49th with a time of 2:32:25.  After Tom, LRC teammates Jason Zakaras (2:34:15), Chad Sellers (2:35:31) and Neil Wolford (2:38:39) all crossed the line within minutes.  Jason, Chad and Neil now represent the 3rd, 4th and 5th Top 10 LRC times, respectively.

In other racing news, Craig Christians was the first master’s runner (and 11th overall) to finish the Road to Omaha 5K. He finished in a time of 18:09.  Full results can be found here.
