LRC Racing Brings Living History Pottery Back
While some passed the brisk morning nestled in a cozy bed and others making their way to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln for Nebraska football’s senior day, LRC Racing woke up in Des Moines, IA to compete at the 38th annual Living History Farms race. With a scoring team comprised of Ryan Dostal (8th OA, 42:22), Brian Wandzilak (13th OA, 1st AG, 43:03) and Andrew Jacob (16th OA, 2nd, AG 43:18), LRC Racing brought back the coveted team title from the race, something that had not been done by a Nebraska team since 2010, by beating the second place team by a combined time of almost one minute. Ivan Marsh (2nd Masters, 43:29), Cole Marolf (43:50), Joe Coil (45:37) and Logan Watley (46:42) also helped represent the men’s open team across the creeks and through the cornfields.
The men’s master’s team once again dominated the field by almost eight minutes, as LRC Alum Ivan Ivanov (1st masters, 43:15), Ryan Regnier (3rd masters, 43:52) and Tom Woods (2nd AG, 46:00) led the way for the team as scorers. Brian Kelley (1st grand masters, 47:19), Jason Schmaderer (47:22), Craig Christians (2nd grand masters, 47:55), Darin Schlake (50:10), Brett Daugherty (1st AG, 51:06) and Kevin Burke (59:29) helped represent the team during the race as well.
All-in-all, a great time was had by all!
