LRC Places 4 Athletes in Top 5 at Hospital Hill Half-Marathon

This past weekend LRC had athletes competing in Kansas City at the Hospital Hill Half-Marathon and in Lincoln at the Havelock Charity Run.

At Hospital Hill, the LRC men placed four runners in the top ten with Neil Wolford leading the way. Wolford ran a 1:12:06 on his way to a 3rd place finish. He was followed by teammate Mike Rathje who finished 4th overall with his time of 1:12:25. Also in the top ten for LRC was Andrew Jacob (1:14:24) and Eric Noel (1:14:27) who finished in 7th and 8th place respectively. Next in for LRC was Logan Watley who ran a 1:16:06 on his way to a 12th place finish. Tom Nichols was not too far behind with his time of 1:16:34. Brian Wandzilak was the final LRC competitor to finish with his time of 1:22:44, which placed him 37th overall. In the team competition, LRC’s team of Neil Wolford, Mike Rathje, Andrew Jacob, and Tom Nichols placed 1st overall, beating the competition by over five minutes. The second LRC team, which was comprised of Eric Noel, Logan Watley, and Brian Wandizlak, placed 4th overall. For complete results Click Here.

On the women’s side, LRC put two athletes in the top five with Frankie Petersen leading the way. Petersen ran a 1:24:43, which placed her 4th overall. She was followed by teammate Hannah Kinberg who ran a 1:25:14 on her way to a 5th place finish. Next in for LRC was Krysta George who ran a 1:31:45 which placed her 22nd overall. Also running for LRC was Nora Youngs (1:37:35) and Maria Longenecker (1:38:25) who finished in 38th and 41st place respectively. The women’s team brought home the title from the team competition, beating the second place team by several minutes. For complete results Click Here.

In the Havelock Charity Run 3k, LRC’s Quinn Lewandowski finished 3rd overall with his time of 9:25. Ryan Salem made his LRC debut in the 3k, running a 9:44 on his way to a 6th place finish. Austin McKillip also competed for LRC, running a 10:12, which placed him, 12th overall. For complete results Click Here.

In the 10k, LRC’s Cole Marolf was the top LRC finisher with his time of 34:22, which placed him 6th overall. Also competing for LRC was Dan Haden who ran a 36:46 on his way to a 17th place finish. For complete results Click Here.
