LRC Hits the Trails

LRC Racing moved from the roads to the trails on the weekend of April 5th where they continued to find success.  At the Ni-Bthaska-Ke Trail Run 12k in Louisville, NE, Frankie Petersen was the second overall woman to cross the finish line.  In the men’s race, Brian Wandzilak was the second overall finisher, while Brian Kelley (7th), Darin Schlake (9th) and Craig Christians (13th) rounded out the top 15.  With his second place finish, Brian Wandzilak jumped to the lead of the USATF Grand Prix.  

As a team, LRC is currently dominating the Open Top 10 standings with Brian Kelley tied for 4th, Michael Rathje & Darin Schlake tied for 6th, Ryan Dostal in 9th and Jason Zakaras in 10th.  LRC is also representing in the Master’s standings as Brian Kelley, Darin, Tom Woods & Craig Christians take spots 2-5.  On the women’s side, Frankie Petersen maintains a slight lead over Kaci Lickeig, while Hayley Sutter (4th) and Ann Bauermeister (6th in Open, 2nd in Masters) round out the top spots.  LRC Alum, Addie Hohman, also currently sits in 5th overall.

LRC will be back on the roads this weekend with the 32nd Annual Novartis Run in Lincoln.  Most athletes will be racing the 10k as tune-up for the Lincoln Half/Full on May 4th.
