LRC – 2018 Track Version

The opening of 2018 has resulted in much more track running for LRC Racing than in past years, peaking with the Franke Sevigne Invite this past Friday/Saturday.  On Friday night, Katie Wetzstein (16:44.34, 1st OA) and Sarah Fowler (17:52.73, 4th OA) started off LRC on the right foot.  No LRC woman had ever ran an indoor 5k before!  The Nolans (Nolan Zimmer and Nolan Border), followed that up with strong performances of their own. Nolan Z ran 14:43.26 (2nd OA) to break his own team record, while Nolan B ran 15:02.96 (5th OA), just barely missing out on breaking the 15:00 barrier.  Then on Saturday, Jacob Olson continued his tear on the track by running yet another team record in the mile (4:14.81).  Saturday marked the third time Olson had completed that feat in 2018.

Next up for the majority of LRC Racing will be the Leprechaun Chase 10k at the start of March, followed by State Farm/Shamrock Shuffle on March 24th/25th.  State Farm marks the unofficial start of the spring racing system for the team.
