Kinberg, Nichols, and Petersen lead the way for LRC-Racing
This past weekend was a successful one for the LRC-Racing team as they won 3 individual titles and had runners populating the top of the results in two different races. On Saturday, LRC had 7 men and 2 women compete in the Nebraska Wesleyan Alumni Run at Pioneers Park. Neil Wolford led the way for the men by placing 3rd overall finishing the 4-mile course in a time of 20:12. Next to finish for LRC was Mike Rathje who came in 5th place with a time of 20:42 followed closely behind by Eric Noel who ran a 20:50 on his way to a 6th place finish. The final two LRC athletes to place in the top ten were Logan Watley finishing 7th running 21:09 and Cole Marolf finishing 10th with a time of 21:19. Mike Herz (16th – 21:50) and Quinn Lewandowski also ran. On the women’s side, Hannah Kinberg ran the 5k race in 18:21 on her way to a 1st place finish. Malaina Huebert also ran a 19:40 and finished 4th overall.
On Sunday, LRC had athletes take part in the Buffalo Run also held at Pioneers Park. Tom Nichols led LRC Racing by winning the 5-mile race in a time of 26:48. In second place was Tom Woods IV who ran a 27:26. Next to finish for LRC was Quinn Lewandowski (5th place, 27:51) followed closely behind by Brian Wandzilak (6th place, 27:52). Also placing in the top 15 were Ryan Regnier (7th place, 28:04), Austin McKillip (12th place, 30:10) and Ben Cohoon (13th place, 30:14). The women’s race was won by LRC female competitor, Frankie Petersen, who crossed the line in a time of 30:50. Nora Youngs also completed the five mile course, finishing first in her age group with a time of 33:27.
On Sunday September 16th, LRC Racing will send Eric Noel, Tom Nichols, Neil Wolford, Mike Herz, Logan Watley, Cole Marolf, Ryan Regnier, Austin McKillip, Ryan Osberg, Malaina Huebert and Hannah Kinberg to take part in the 32nd Annual American Lung Association Corporate Cup in Omaha, NE. The 10k race will start at 9am at the corner of 19th and Chicago near the Civic Auditorium in Omaha.
