LRC affiliates took five of the top ten spots, with former LRC Board member (and current Asics Aggie member) Eric Noel taking the overall win in a time of 1:09:06. Tom Nichols was runner-up for the second year in a row with a time of 1:09:07.5 and Tanner Fruit, who had previously raced with LRC Racing at the 2013 Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago, IL, ran 1:09:20.6 for third place. Johnny Rutford (4th, 1:09:35.3) and Ivan Ivanov (8th, 1st Masters, 1:12:44) rounded out the top 10 for LRC Racing.
Jason Zakaras (15th, 1:16:13.6), Brian Wandzilak (16th, 1:16:29.1), Trevor Vidlak (17th, 1:16:36.3), Ryan Regnier (18th, 1:16:39) and Tom Woods (19th, 1:16:48.7) helped round out the top 20. Other runners included Andrew Jacob (1:17:46.4) and Cole Marolf (1:1:18:03.9).
On the masters side, in addition to Ivan Ivanov and Tom Woods, Brian Kelley (1st AG, 1:21:42.4), Charles Smith (1st AG, 1:21:55.1), Jason Schmaderer (3rd AG, 1:23:39.7), Kevin Burke (1st AG, 1:28:57.5), Darin Schlake (1st AG, 1:29:18.3) and Kerry McDermott (1:35:12.2).
Michelle Paxton (6th, 1:23:09.4), Maureen Larsen (2nd masters, 1:26:09.5) and Michelle Schmidt (12th, 1:27:08.1) all represented the LRC Racing women’s team. This was the first race for Michelle Schmidt as part of LRC Racing.
In addition, Brett Daugherty ran the NYC Marathon in a time of 3:17:39.
Next up for the team will be a few cross country/trail related competitions, including Beer and Bagel, the NE USATF XC Championships and Living History Farms.
