Fall Racing Weekend Update
LRC Racing had quite the busy weekend on the 8th/9th of October! First off, eight men and women participated in the Market to Market Relay from Omaha to Nebraska on Saturday the 9th. The coed team finished the 76 mile race third overall and as the second coed team in a total time of 7:44:28.1 (6:05 average).
Then on Sunday, racers were spread all over; from Omaha to Chicago to Minneapolis/St. Paul. Joe Coil ran his inaugural race for LRC Racing at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in a time of 16:03. This places Joe as the 9th fastest 5k on the team’s top 10 list. Tom Nichols ran the Chicago Marathon in a time of 2:38:41, which placed him 30th within his age group (out of thousands of runners).
Meanwhile in Minnesota, both Michelle Schmidt (2nd AG, 3:08:48) and Amy McCracken (10th AG, 3:22:29) ran well, bettering their spots on the team’s top 10 charts.
Although this wrapped several individuals’ “peak races” for 2016, Capital City Classic and Good Life Halfsy should showcase some good competition as well!
