Early October Racing
On to Market to Market: LRC Racing has traditionally been a power at the race. Over the past three years, LRC has won the open division (2012, 2013) and the mixed division (2014). In 2014, the mixed team also beat all other teams in the open division. If you look at the record board, you will see LRC/Lincoln Running Company teams all over it and 2015 was no exception. The LRC Women’s team made up of Maureen Larsen, Nora Youngs, Bridget Easley, Michelle Paxton, Sierra Zemanick, Krysta George, Hayley Sutter and Jessa Sughroe ran an average pace of 6:27/mi to beat the second place women’s team by 0:11/mi (3 minutes and 7 seconds) and placed 8th overall, regardless of division. Along with the women, Lincoln Running Company teams won the open division, the masters division and the mixed masters division. Several other individuals met up with college alumni teams (i.e., Jaybird Dirksens, NWU Alumni, #lopeshow) and got to enjoy the race.
Then the next day, a small group took to the streets of Minneapolis for the Twin Cities Marathon. Ryan Regnier led the way with a time of 2:40:39, while Logan Watley (2:57:34) and Austin McKillip (3:00:34) also competed in the race.
Next up for LRC Racing will be the Des Moines Half Marathon, along with the Governor’s Cup in Lincoln, NE on Sunday, October 25th.
