The 27th running of the Columbus Downtown Runaround took place this past Saturday, July 21st.  This run holds special meaning for LRC Racing in that it was the team’s inaugural race during the summer of 2010.  In that race, Eric Noel took first in the 2.1 mile with a time of 10:31.3 and Logan Watley took first in the 5 mile race with a time of 25:29.8.  This year, the team had four men run the 5 mile and one woman run the 2.1 mile.  Addie Hohman placed third in the women’s 2.1 race with a time of 13:17 as she continues to train after her pregnancy.  In the men’s 5 mile, the team was led by Eric Noel (2nd), Tom Nichols (3rd) and Logan Watley (4th), who ran 26:54, 27:09 and 27:21, respectively.  In addition, Mike Herz (8th) was not far behind in running a time of 28:40 for the 5 mile course.  The most notable difference between today and two years ago, is that people know who we are.  Even on the course in Columbus, we had people cheering us by our individual names.  It’s amazing the strides that have been made in only two years!
