Great day for LRC-Racing at the 2nd Annual LTC Capital City Classic (Formerly the ART/FX Governor's Cup).  The unusual early afternoon start time of 3 o'clock can wreak havoc on a runner's day.  The weather this cooperated and a number of team members got after it on an incredible day for racing.

A nod to the longer 15k distance first. In this rarely run event, we had five guys head off on the loop course, with three of them arriving on our top 10 list.  Tanner Brown was 2nd overall in a time of 52:28 (4th in top 10).  Ryan Regnier taking advantage of his marathon fitness and finished 3rd overall (masters RRCA state champ) in a time of 53:54.  Kyle Clouston earned a 4th overall in a time of 54:42.  Craig Christians has been taking advantage of retirement and ran a very strong 6th overall in 1:01:13.  Brett Daugherty rounded out the five guys in a 1:05:53 which placed him 17th overall.

Down to the spring race.  One of the faster 5ks in the area is a quick loop around the capital building then an out and back to South St.   Erica Doering comes through in an 18:16. This placed her first overall.  Anna Hazard wasn't too far back in 18:38.  2nd overall. Kelly Messbarger was 7th overall in 22:04.

The men did some damage to the top 10 as well.  Jacob Olson has made his presence on the team felt in a very short amount of time.  Winning the 5k in a time of 15:48.  Tim Meyer held it down for the old guys coming in second in a time of 15:55.  Our 5k record list is pretty salty by now.  Andre Jacob was 4th in a 16:23.  Connor Bohlken 5th in 16:49.  Brian Kelley 14th in 18:59.  Kevin Burke ran to a 21st in a time of 20:28.

Big weekend coming up with a whole slew of Master's foks heading to Tulsa and the Fourth Good Life Halfsy.
