2016 Thunder Run

The end of summer was marked by the Thunder Run this past weekend. With kids and teachers both going back to school, this race typically signifies the end of summer and the beginning of fall training.  With that said, LRC Racing showed up in force this past Saturday morning. Cole Marolf (5th OA, 15:54), Ryan Hruska (8th OA, 16:21) and Ivan Marsh (9th OA, 1st Masters, 16:22) all led the way for LRC.  Andrew Jacob (2nd AG, 16:50), Brian Wandzilak (1st AG, 17:03), Logan Watley (17:45), Derek Sekora (18:29) and Austin McKillip (18:49) all also helped to represent at the start line.

For the masters men, Ivan was the first overall finisher, followed closely by Ryan Regnier (2nd AG, 16:43).  Jason Schmaderer (18:00), Brett Daugherty (1st AG, 18:56), Darin Schlake (2nd AG< 18:57), Jeff Hansen (2nd AG, 19:22) and Kerry McDermott (1st AG, 20:41) all ran the race as well.  Ivan’s time is now 2nd all time on the masters list, while Ryan’s firmly places him 4th. Jason improved his 9th place spot on the Top 10 Charts by one second.

Amy McCracken was the sole LRC woman to represent Saturday morning as she finished third overall and first for all masters in a time of 19:45.  Full results can be found here.

Next up for many on the team will be the Arrow to Aerospace Downhill Mile that serves as the Nebraska One Mile Championship, or the Buffalo Run 5mile.
